Luncheons

Communication Dialogues & Seminars
Seminars Director
- 1-2 people
- Participate on a committee to identify the seminar topics and speakers, as well as distribute the various tasks of executing the seminar, including securing a venue, promoting the event, etc.
- Two seminars will be planned during the year. Volunteers can assist with one or both events.

Champion of Chat
- 1 person
- Help plan Communication Dialogues (typically one-hour seminars in the morning
or after work)
- Work with Co-VP, Professional Development to plan 3-4 Communication Dialogues throughout the year.
- Duties will include identifying speakers/topics and handling logistics of the event planning. (Some dialogues may also include Web chats or other virtual venues.)

Accreditation
Accredited members needed to:
Mentor accreditation candidates through portfolio development phase
Attend local accreditation information session to speak to interested candidates about the value of accreditation
Proctor exams

Special Events
Network Night Team
We are looking for fun and creative people to participate on the committee that will plan and execute this year’s Network Night. This event is always a crowd-pleaser, and this year we plan to make this the most successful event yet. We need committee members who can help seek out great auction items, who love to plan events and who just want to have a great time with other IABC members. If this sounds like you—then volunteer today!

Copper Quill Awards Event (usually held in early May)
Committee members needed to:
Determine theme and date
Secure event venue
Assist with food/beverage selections
Secure speaker or emcee
Secure designer to develop ‘Save the Date' postcard, call for entries, invitations, event program
Assist with printing/mailing of marketing materials
Coordinate Call for entries (late December or early January)
Secure out-of-state judges (other IABC chapters)
Assist with organizing and shipping award entries to other IABC chapters for judging
Secure silent auction items using chapter solicitation letter or existing professional contacts
Collect silent auction items, item descriptions and fair market prices from donors
Create bid sheets

Member Communications
Edit Express Content Coordinator
Edit Express is a bi-weekly newsletter and is part of the Internal Communications of IABC Phoenix. This volunteer position will include collecting and editing content from the IABC Board of Directors and other sources.

Edit Express Layout Coordinator
The Layout Coordinator for Edit Express will work with the Content Coordinator and will be responsible for sending and posting the newsletter on a bi-weekly basis. Basic HTML skills are helpful.

Marketing
Help promote IABC, its members and events in the community
Pitch stories to media outlets

Community Involvement
- Develop half-day seminar for nonprofits (help plan and promote, provide volunteer speakers/consultants and recognition, and identify corporate sponsor(s) and participating nonprofits)
- Connect students to chapter and build relationships with universities
- Incorporate IABC’s Be Heard® brand into community activities
- Connect with the community through a non-professional cause (i.e. Adopt a Family, can drive, etc.) or identify community service activity
