IABC Phoenix Volunteer of the Quarter -- Q2 2009
Karlyn Evans was selected as the Q2 2009 Volunteer of the Quarter. Karlyn has stepped into the role of coordinating all of the new member lunches and has done an outstanding job of handling all of the logistics from invites to venue selection. She has played an integral role in making sure that all new members are welcomed to the chapter and provided with an opportunity to meet other members face-to-face to begin expanding their professional network and to learn more about what IABC Phoenix has to offer to members.
IABC Phoenix Volunteer of the Quarter -- Q3 2009
Kim Grozek was selected as the Q3 2009 Volunteer of the Quarter for her work as the director of media relations for the chapter. Kim has written IABC Phoenix press materials, distributed news to appropriate media outlets, and posted event information on calendar listings. Her proactive media outreach efforts have resulted in an increase in the overall amount of coverage received which has raised the level of awareness of the association, contributed to an increase in traffic to the iabcphoenix.com site, and shown an uptick in registrations to chapter programs and networking events.
IABC Phoenix Volunteer of the Quarter -- Q4 2009
Amy McSheffrey was named Volunteer of the Quarter for her dedicated volunteer efforts in Q4 2009. When asked to assist with creation of the IABC Phoenix video in the first-ever IABC Film Festival, Amy enthusiastically volunteered to donate the time and talents of her company, Chili Pepper Productions. Amy and her team did an outstanding job of editing the raw footage, adding music and enhancing it with a sepia tone, providing a decidedly Western flair to “Brainstorm at the IABC Phoenix Corral.” Amy was a pleasure to work with and the end result was a professionally produced video IABC Phoenix was proud to submit as its Film Festival entry.
