Making Managers Better Communicators
Managers are relied upon to be conduits of communication in any organization today, but they are not always well prepared to deliver effective communication. How do we, communicators, train and support our managers? In this session, Cropley will show how you can help improve our managers’ communications skills and enhance the quality of the work they do for their organizations. You will understand the main role managers play in communications and will develop the skills to build a compelling business case for line manager training.

Speaker Bio: Adrian Cropley, ABC, is the Principal for Cropley Communications, located in Melbourne, Australia. He has over 20 years of communications experience in the private and public sectors and has played important roles as the head of HR Management, Change and Organizational Development, and Corporate Internal Communications.
Currently, Cropley works with a variety of clients on change and internal communication strategies and programs. He is also an executive coach working with organizations such as Ernst & Young, Shell, NAB, ANZ, National Foods, Kraft, Bunning’s, Aus Post, Telstra, Amcor, AXA RMIT, Latrobe, Deakin & Monash Universities and various government organizations. He is an in-demand facilitator, lecturer coach and worldwide speaker at several conferences and forums.
He has published various articles appearing in globally recognized industry magazines. Cropley is currently the Chairman of the International Executive board of IABC and has held a number of voluntary roles. He was named IABC’s “Volunteer Chapter Leader of the Year” in 2008 and has been invaluable in the growth and development of chapters across the Asia/Pacific region.
