How long have you been a member of IABC?
I joined in 2004. After I attended the chapter’s Leadership Academy in 2004 and 2006, I was asked to join the board; 2010-11 marks my fifth consecutive term. In addition, I’ve also participated in the IABC Leadership Institute twice.
What is your current position/company?
Director of Communications, nFocus Software
What is your favorite aspect of your job?
Storytelling
What do you hope to gain from your membership/involvement with IABC?
To share my experiences with other professionals and as well as take away new ideas for my own development.
Who was/were your biggest professional influence(s)?
My parents: my father, a retired newspaper reporter/columnist, and my mother, who retired from public radio. My journalism professors at the University of Arizona also deserve credit.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Doing most any activity, except housework, with my husband and children, watch old movies, a yoga class and thoroughly read a newspaper (and not online, give me print).
What destination do you want to travel to the most?
Saguaro National Park on the eastside of Tucson
