Award of Merit CKPR KTAR Radio Intensifies Search for Serial Killers CKPR for KTAR Radio
As two serial predators roamed the Valley, NewsRadio KTAR knew that broadcasting updates about the crimes wouldn't be enough. The station made a substantial donation to the Silent Witness Rewards fund and then challenged others to do the same. CKPR spread the word about the donation through the media and local leaders. The goal: to uncover what KTAR's iconic talk-show host dubbed “that one kernel of info” needed to capture the killers and to restore residents' peace of mind.
